it was amazing
bookshelves: paranormal-romance

Feehan was my first introduction to paranormal romance. I'd bought and loved one of her earlier gothic romances, so I bought her backlist from Dorchester with a coupon torn out from the back of a paperback. The books arrived-- and all I could think was "WHAT is this VAMPIRE crap?" Since I'd bought them, though, I figured I should pretend to read I did. And I was hooked. One of the things I love most about Feehan is the way her heroes and heroines-- particularly the heroines-- have grown and changed over her career. Her heroes may be strong alpha males and they may play sexy, sexy games with the heroines-- but they have a real healthy respect for the women they love and her strength and grit is a real factor in their love. SAVAGE NATURE has a feisty, independent heroine and I loved watching her explore her relationship with the hero. The incredible descriptions of the bayou and swamps were also lovely.
