In this sequel to Spell Hunter (which I liked quite a lot, despite not usually liking fairy books), Linden is now the youngest fairy in the Oakenwyld colony. Knife is nearby, leading a new life, and it's Linden's turn to save the colony. Easier said than done, but she finds other fairies--and discovers that seclusion had its advantages.

Despite the familiar world and characters, Wayfarer just didn't appeal to me in the same way as Spell Hunter. Still worth reading (especially with the clear open ending for at least one more book), but I missed the strong world-building and character development found in the first book.
