really liked it
bookshelves: utah-authors, audiobook, fairy-tale-retellings-all-sorts
Read in January, 2005 , read count: 2

I read this book after Shannon Hale came to my 'local library' to talk about being published and writing and so forth. The thing I remember best is when she showed us all of her rejection letters. She had them all taped together in a looooong roll and I mean long. She had a TON of rejections before she got published and now she is going strong. Very inspirational. Plus, I just love the story of the Goose Girl. One of my all time favorites from Grimm Bros.

*Second Reading Reaction: Still a lovely story but you can really tell how much Shannon Hale's voice has developed in her later works. Still inspires me to retell an obscure fairy tale.
