really liked it

Parker's Spenser series is undoubtedly the best of his work, but Jesse Stone is an interesting character and I like the small-town setting in which Parker dumps this disfunctional ex-LA cop. His side-kicks are amusing, too - Suitcase and the female Sgt especially. If there is a crisper writer than Parker in the detective genre I can't think of them - so few words; so much action; so little hang-up about anything other than simple right and wrong.
