Do these books keep getting better??? Oh my gosh! I started this book last night and finished it at 3 a.m.!! I didn't know if I would like Butch and Marissa's story...I always thought Butch was interesting, but I wasn't sure if Marissa deserved him...okay so I was wrong.
Admittedly, there were times I wanted to strangle both of them. They want to protect one another so much that they pushed each other away and it drove me crazy! But, with Butch's very humble beginnings and tortured past, it is understandable why he would put Marissa up on a pedistool. And, with Marissa being so sheltered and innocent in many ways, I was so happy to see them find a common ground.
What I really loved about them was there was so much character development for both of them. Both Butch and Marissa are not the same people they were at the beginning of the book, they are better. In finding themselves, they also found a deep love and respect for one another. It just doesn't get any better than that...in my opinion.
What surprises me is...as I am read each book about the different Brothers I at that time, they are all of my favorites. All of these books so far have been awesome! What in the world will I read when I finish them all????
I am curious about the next book. It has so much controversy about it, I am curious about how I will like it.

Hi, Shellie--I thought you might like this one. It is my fav of the bunch so far. I just love Butch. He always cracks me up. And the dialogue between Butch and V is some of the best in the series so far.
How about the ending? Wasn't that awesome?! I was shocked to find out who Butch's father was and what Wrath found out about Butch's bloodline. Most of all I was so happy for Butch to finally find a happy home and "family." Just a wonderful book.
Like I said, this is my fav for now. But Phury is my fav brother, so I'm sure "Lover Eternal" will be my fav after June 3. BTW, you are going to love V's book...so much in it about all the brothers, especially Phury. Happy reading!!!
xoxo

I totally agree with you that Butch and Marissa were not the same at the end of the book. I remember reeling for days trying to process all the changes in their characters and the storyline in general.I also agree with liking each brother equally at the time I'm reading each of their books. It really mystifies me how J.R. Ward can create so many thoroughly appealing characters that are so different. I have a feeling I'll feel the same way about V when I read his story (and Phury too).
Since you and others are currently reading or re-reading his story right now it's going to be very hard for me not to get spoilers. Then when Lover Enshrined comes out it will be even worse. Yikes! I'm going to have to hurry up.;)
I am going to start the next book tomorrow. I know if I start it now, I won't get any sleep...lol. I really loved Butch, but Wrath and Rhage are my favorites so far. (one day I like Wrath best, the next Rhage...what's a girl to do???) I am looking forward to reading V's book, but I am REALLY anxious to read Phury's book...god that hair and man..er vampire must be soooo gorgeous...plus he is so tormented...just can't get any better than that:)

Can't wait to read your other reviews on this series. = )
