All of my friends here...y'all were soooo right about this one:)

Everyone, but I am probably the last person in the planet to finally read it...hee hee
Okay, so it took me a while to get on the Black Dagger Brotherhood bandwagon. Some of y'all know that I went over 4 years without picking up a book, so when I started reading again in August, I was behind (and still am) with series books.
In all honesty, I put reading this book off because I thought I would expect too much from it. All of the hype about it leads you to believe that it is unfailingly awesome...well it was.
I loved both Wrath and Beth. In my opinion they couldn't have been matched better. Wrath is a one of the most interesting heroes I have read in a long time. He is so alpha, but yet one of the most loving man...er vampire I have read about in a long time. Some of comments he made to Beth was so heartfelt and wonderful, I found myself envious of her.
Wow. I can't wait to read the next one. I'll be starting it tonight.
You girls were right. This book was AWESOME:)

Tammy & Shellie--You haven't read this series yet? Wow, I thought you had. Well, you're in for a treat. To say this series is addictive is an understatement. Keeper shelf material for sure. *grin*
And Phury's book comes out June 3 (Lover Eternal). Yup, already have it preordered for over a month now. Can't wait...Phury is my fav of the brothers with his long, gorgeous hair and compassionate heart. Yummy!

Your so right Christel...I think I knew once I started reading it I would get obsessed until I read it all...lolOkay girls...which book has been your favorite so far????
I have read that one book...I think is is V's book was a let down...something about his lover turning into a ghost or something like that.
Tammy:
You gotta put down whatever you are reading now, and start Dark Lover. You will love it!
Believe it or not, I liked "Lover Revealed" best. That's Butch's book. So many surprises in that one, and Butch's dialogue with V just cracked me up the entire time. Those two really have the best dialogue of the series.Shellie, I'm one of the few who enjoyed V's book. It is actually very much like Z's book, which is hard to take (lots of torture scenes from their pasts). As I writer, I know the author has to come up with a unique way every time for the mate of a vamp to become immortal. I liked evrything about V's book, including her solution. There have also been complaints that there wasn't much about V in the book. That was okay with me, too. I love the BDB world, so it was fun to read what was happening with everyone else. Ward also uses V's book to set up what is about to happen to Phury, which is also a big surprise. So keep an open mind with that one. You and I tend to like the same kinds of books, so you may like it more than most, too.

I knew I shouldn't have logged onto Goodreads today! LOL! Too many new books to add to my TBR pile. Thank God we have a holiday weekend coming up. Shellie, I just ordered Loving Lies (Lora Leigh) online. Do you think I will enjoy Dark Lover more? Our local bookstore actually has a copy of Dark Lover! I'm trying to figure out a way I can read Dark Lover in 2 days and then start Loving Lies when it is delivered on the 3rd day. (I suppose I could always call in sick at work, skip meals and cut back on my sleeping time.) I can't read 2 books at once - I get confused - and I hate to start one book to drop it for a newer one.
Tammy,You can't compare books. That would be like comparing apples and oranges. I loved both books. Loving Lies is more emotional, erotic reading
BUT
Dark Lover is the total package. Although maybe not as erotic, but the love scenes between Beth and Wrath were pretty darn hot! Plus, as much as loved Lora's heroes...Wrath is definately as complex and sexy...plus he has immortality on his side...
My advice to to get Dark Lover. Read it. I promise you will devour it, and in 3 days you'll have finished it and can start Loving Lies.
Tammy...you will love both! GO FOR IT!
Guess what, Shellie? Beth makes Wrath grow his long black hair all the way down to his waist. She's just like us and loves the look. Awesome!xoxo

I agree with you Laura. If all of the books in the series is the same, then how boring would that be? Plus, like said...I know she probably has the series planned out, so if one is a ghost...there will be a reason for it in the end. All I know is I will read through these quickly...they seem to be too good for me not too:)
Dang Laura...I can't imagine Wrath getting any sexier...lolOhhhh speaking of sexy men with long hair...how's Wynn doing?????
Shellie--Did you read Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Dark Hunter" series? Well, "Call of the Witches" ends with a big Samhain party at Noelle's. This year Wynn has decided to dress as Ash from that series for his party costume. YOWZA, right?!
After I finish the final edits on that novel the end of June, Wynn and Noelle are off to an erotic weekend at the beach (Hilton Head). Seems his boss Dray got a free weekend trip at a snazzy beach house from one of the suppliers for his company. Being a vamp, laying around on the beach isn't Dray's thing so he offered the trip to Wynn. Okay, picture this. Wynn in swim trunks. Totally YUMMY, right?! *big smile*
This is the second novella (called "Bewitched at the Beach") for Wynn and Noelle's erotica novella series. I plan to write 2 more for that series before I start the first paperback novel in the new vamp spinoff series. Anyway, Wynn is at the beach with Noelle, and you know what a stinker she is. Not to mention there are lots of HOT sex scenes with those two in that novella, including one on the beach at night, when she jumps him. The woman has no shame. Gotta love her!! *grin*

Daisiemae,Yeah!!! I'm so glad you finally read this one and liked it. I loved what you said about Wrath in your review. That is so true, and as far as I can tell all the brothers are like that, totally alpha but totally loving to boot. Whew! What a combination. And what Laura said about Wrath growing his hair even longer just for Beth. When I read that scene I just about died, because that is so me and my hubby. Even though some people probably think he's weird, he keeps his hair long just for me.
If you think Wrath is hot, just wait until you read Rhage's story. Although I have to admit that my soft spot is for Zsadist. He's my favorite right now, but Phury is just begging for a spot on that list too.;) I haven't gotten to V's story yet, but I have to admit that his genius computer geek persona is a real turn-on too. Dang, I think I just need to give up and create my own harem. Have fun catching up on this series!
Yea! You did it Daisiemae! You're going to whip right through the rest of them like a hot knife through butter--and just in time for Phury's book on June 3rd! Great timing!!:D
I will Auntee! Ya'll have convinced me, so I will stop by the bookstore on my way home tonight to pick up a copy. I'm sure my husband and dirty laundry will thank you! LOL!!
Oh I haven't read this series either. I just picked up the book last week I think. Maybe I'll squeeze it in before I start the last book in Lisa Kleypas Wallflower Series.
Nikki,Do yourself a favor and read this book! I have had this book for months. I kept putting it off to read other things...um...hello what the heck was I thinking??? Don't delay in reading it any longer. You will be hooked!
OMG The Dark-Hunter Series. I am ga-ga for Acheron. WOOF!! and the others OMG THUD!! I have all the Dark Hunters but the newest one and canoot wait til Ash's comes out this August.BDB-- HMMMMM I think Z's and Bella's has been the best, with Butch and Marissa second, Rhage and MAry's 3rd, THen Wrath and Beth's, the V's and Jane's. I am patiently awaiting Tohrment's and Rhevenge's and if JR Ward plans one hopefully for Lassiter.
But I alos love the Immortal's after Dark to. Gee gotta love a guy witha Scottish Brogue YUMMY
Christel,I am going to read the Dark-hunters series next after this one. I have read Fantasy Lover, but I haven't read the rest yet.
I ordered the Immortal's after dark too. Gosh, I will be surrounded by Vampires, Shapeshifters and Werewolves...it just doesn't get any better than that...well throw a LL breed in there and I am in HEAVEN
That has been pretty much all I have read now thanks to you ladies for the past 2 months. ubby is scared I am gonna turn into a vampire!! I myself would prefer to turn into either a Valkryie or a Lythancope. They seem to have the most fun of all, especially them durn Valkryies
Hi, Christel--Ha! It will always be vampires for me. Dear Goddess, what YUMMY guys they are!! Of course, Ash is a god, so there are exceptions (grin).
But back to vamps...you just can't beat them! They're totally yummy guys. They live forever, never need the little blue pill, they've had hundreds of years to build their bank accounts and fine-tune their sexual technique. Not to mention their bite gives you an instant "O."
My, my...is it getting hot in here? (fanning myself rapidly) *big smile*

Hmmmm...I love the bloodsuckers the best. Something about the whole biting on the neck thing...it's so sexual. Plus, there seems to be a natural charisma about vampires that isn't always written with the others. Although, I probably wouldn't kick any of them out of my bed for eating crackers in it..if you get my drift...hee hee
Wow,I finished the book last night and I'm sooooooooo glad I read it.
Dasiemae I'm glad I listened to and read it I can't wait to get the rest of the series. I really want to read Z's story.
Hey gals, I haven't read this series yet! Heard lots of hype about it, and it has been highly recommended by so many of you but I have never really been into the whole non-human romance thing. BUT, I read the Twilight series last month (I know some of you are not that keen on this series) and I loved it. So... I have requested Dark lover and then I'll see.

You are second to last - I haven't read the BDB books yet either!
Sounds like I need to finally jump on the bandwagon too. I keep reading so many good things about this series, but all of the hype has made me wary.
Great review!
