bookshelves: urban-fantasy, magical, fae

I really enjoyed this book. It was an interesting take on urban fantasy and dealt with the fae in a fairly original manner.
October Daye is a knight of the Summerlands who after a malicious spell binding ends u as a fish for 14 years. During this time her husband and daughter move on and believe that she has abandoned them. When she returns from fishdom she try's to opt out of the world of fairy. Unfortunately one of her mentors is murdered and sets a death curse on her to bring her killers to justice or die. Thereafter the book is a bit Jim Butcher esk as there is non stop action. The villain is sign posted but nonetheless this is an enjoyable read. I have already started on book 2.
