Interesting. The writing isn't pretty, but it's an effective depiction of shallow, privileged teens with an internet feed implanted in their brains. The constant barrage of targeted advertising was uncomfortably familiar. The story is full of discomfiting details about the ruined world they live in - particularly the lesions they all have that have somehow become fashionable. The story explores whether the feed can be resisted and at what consequence, against the backdrop of a rapidly declining civilization that the privileged ones continue to blissfully ignore.
