** spoiler alert ** Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang is a collection of humorous personal stories (autobiography) and essays from Chelsea Handler's life. Handler is fond of playing pranks on her friends, insulting her loved ones, and making fun of herself and her family. The chapters in Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang cover the territory from drunken encounters on a vacation in the Turks and Caicos to an elaborate trick played on Handler's boyfriend involving the faked death of a friend's dog. She also speaks of some of her sexual experiences as a child. I recommend this book to anyone who can handle vulgar language, and profanity. I rated this book 3 stars because although it is entertaining it is not a very well constructed book. Her stories seem very scattered and rushed, but that is only my opinion.

In this book there are themes of love, hubris and deciet. The author always tries to find love in places and makes it work for her. The theme of hubris is also present through characterization because the author illustrates how she is a stubborn woman who speaks out what ever is on her mind and is very independent in the things that she does. She also like to pull pranks on people and wheres a disguise as to who she is and what she is actually feeling which leads to the theme of deciet.
