4 ½ stars. Others didn’t like this book while I loved it and have read it several times. I use it as a “comfort” book to wash the taste of some unsavory books from my palate. It doesn’t have any big breakthrough story line, or fabulous H/h, or even an ahhhh moment. It is just a pleasant little read with a bit of a mystery with characters I enjoy.

Marilyn Rondeau I like the way you put that. Sometimes you run across a book that just becomes an old friend!

Lisa Kay Marilyn, Perfectly put. This book is like an old friend to me. Loved the characters and the heroine is NOT TSTL and together the H/h solve the mystery. Her young, loyal maid is a treat too! Oh, I forgot; there's a dog in it. Love dogs!
