This book started out slow. I didn't like Rowan at all, she was very much the ice queen, cold and unfeeling. The funny thing was that she even thought of herself like that. It was clear that she was hiding some very important things in her past, and it was for this reason alone that I kept reading.

Once that secret was revealed it really made you reevaluate what you thought of Rowan, realizing there is a good reason why she is the way she is. And once you really comprehend just what that secret is you are horrified.

There were some things in the book that surprised me and went a different direction that I thought, like just who was interested in Rowan, but there was also some pretty predictable events too.

All in all this was entertaining one you are invested in the story.
