Disturbing, gruesome, delightful, engrossing. Sedaris makes it hard to look at cute furry little animals the same way again for awhile, with a series of short stories that have them engaged in extramarital affairs, double-crossing, dating, racism, and other nefarious activities normally reserved for humans. The ewe story will stay with you for awhile, as will the one with the snake and the mouse. One downside is it's brevity: you can zip through this on a plane ride, as I did from Islamabad to Dubai, and still find yourself with two hours of plane time to kill afterwards.
