Looking at review ratings it seems people either loved this book or hated this book. I'm 1/4 of the way through and I have to say I don't know what side of the fence I'm on. It's is the ODDEST book I've read in a long time and it does some writing (darn I call them techniques...maybe bad techniques) that drive me up the wall and yet I'm still compelled to keep reading. More once I've finished...

I don't know what I think. The telling me of events out of order, or telling me something will happen then telling me about it in detail drives me nuts. This book is full of those moments. And yes they bothered me, but yet I was still compelled to keep reading, to find out exactly how things would happen.

I found my mind started wandering the further into the book I got. It just dragged on a little too long. The view of Nazi Germany was definitely interesting. When I think about it most WW2 books I've read are from the POV of the allies, so seeing it from the "inside" was different change, and I liked it.

Mixed bag would best describe my feelings toward this novel.

Becky I am almost finished this book and feel the exact same way! I am determined to finish, though I am not sure why. So many people loved it that I had to try it...

Jennifer Marie Yeah...it had it's moments, but overall there was a lot that bugged me.

Becky I finished it! And I agree with you 100% I couldn't wait to be finished with it.
