The fact that I finished this in one day should say something. I don't usually go for first-person stories, just because of the style, but I forgot my preference because of how well this story is written, and the excellent plot, itself. It moves quickly, with just the right amount of suspense. It's somewhat of a thriller without being graphic or "look at me! *explosion*" It's a good "guy" book, I think. If you know, or are a guy who doesn't like to read, take a look at this one.
It's very "politically incorrect," dealing with terrorism, homeland security, governmental philosophy, race names ("black guy/white guy"), but it's done surprisingly well, and doesn't feel contrived, at all. Some would hate this book--absolutely despise it--but the fact that it's written intelligently should count for something, there. I don't read many books like this, but I loved it. I'd recommend it to anyone of the reading level and above.
