Please Note: This is not the actual book I read: the one I have, I can't seem to find by seraching, but it is one volume of several of Herriot's books.

I have read this book (these books - there are six in one volume) a number of times and I enjoy it even more with each read. I remember favourite chapters, and discover new details I had previously missed. It is so wonderful to read them all in one volume, as each title is really a continuation of the previous book.
I love how If Only They Could Talk starts out with James heading towards the clinic for the first time - looking for the house with the ivy - and how the last book, Vet in a Spin, leaves him walking down the same dusty road towards the same ivy-covered house. What a simple, wonderful way tocome full circle! :o)
