it was amazing
bookshelves: adult

I actually listened to the audio version of this book, which was wonderful because Bob and Lee are the narrators. Hearing the story in their own voices makes the sad parts especially sad, and the hopeful parts even more hopeful. I had watched Bob Woodruff as a news reporter long before his injury, but I think even people who are not familiar with him would appreciate this book. Very inspiring!

Patty I read this book on a recommendation from Beth. loved it. The Woodruff family notes how lucky they were to have the best medical care and the resources to provide for the family during the recovery. Frustrating to think about all the vets returning from Iraq with similar injuries but not nearly the support or resources to deal with such a life-altering event. Hope they can use their influence to bring to light how much help returning vets will need.
