3.5 really. Obviously the weakest in the series so far but still pretty great. It was hard to read as an ebook since you can't flip to the map/characters sections easily...and you really need that! Very hard to follow all the characters since you have to know all the backstory characters (dead or alive) and learn all sorts of new ones. A few times his signature "Da-dah-daaaahhhh" moments were ruined since I wasn't even sure who he was talking about when he dropped the bomb.

Brian HA! Exactly. He has these "oh, snap" moments that turn into "uh, what?"

Jason Paulios Yeah the book ends, "I'm Pate [and other stuff]" and I'm all "yessssss...wait...who?" Had to search through the lineages in the back until I found his name.

message 3: by Kara (new) - added it

Kara Never thought about maps and ebooks, as well as family tree nonsense.

I really like this series when I picked it up... and then about book 3 I just got fed up with the dirty politics and evil people, and the story just started to go downhill (for me).

Been meaning to pick it back up at some point, but am definitely going to be confused about who is who anymore.

Plus, there is apparently no hurry.

Thanks for the review!
