I just read this article about judy blume (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main....) and it reminded me how much i loved this book. I don't think I read Forever, or if I do, I don't remember, but I do remember that having read this book is pretty much all that made getting my period, which seemed like the most embarrassing thing in the world (my dad congratulated me on being a woman and i still remember the awkward feeling. in fact, i know exactly where i was standing), ok enough that it was something I could talk about at all. I'm also pretty sure I did that 'we must, we must, we must increase our bust' thing at some point.

nicole p Katie, I read Forever at least three times. If you could go back in a time machine to that ripe age I would recommend the book, but since that is unlikely, I'm not sure it's a young adult book to be read as an adult. Both of these books are classics. Go find a young adult and awkwardly pass it on.

I wish the latest book cover didn't look so lame.

Katie i think that young adult fiction covers have taken a direct hit from the introduction of photography. those illustrations were usually pretty cheesy, but not nearly as cheesy as this. plus where did they find that font? its like the most condescending version of what a young lady might be drawn to.
