Okay--so I'm not going to be really rude here, because I get that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I will concede this book gets a little dry and wordy in places. What bugged me about your review was the last few sentences. Because probably just as many people say "This book is boring as stink" as say "This book is amazing." So one could argue that you are just as much of a follower. Just because a bunch of people have the same opinion, it doesn't necessarily make them all followers. (Though some of them undoubtedly are).
I can honestly say, having read the book (not for any english class) that I enjoyed it a great deal, and thought it had lots of great characters, but yes, could have been an awful lot shorter. And no, I was not pressured into this opinion by anyone. If I hate a book I have no qualms about saying it.
