Augusten Burroughs is one of my favorite memoir authors. He tells chilling tales of his life in one heck-of-a messed up family. When I read Running With Scissors I kept having to re-read the back cover to make sure I had read it correctly as a "true story." Haunting... Truly haunting that someone would have to endure the life he endured. Writing this book must have been years in the making and an absolute emotional roller coaster.
