so so book. not that well written but interesting because of the historical stuff. I think Julia - the 21st Century Character - is such a jerk. How can anyone in their right mind be mad at a married lover who calls it quits - especially when he's a real jerk anyway? And what was she doing with him for seven years feeling self-righteous about him going 'back to' his wife?? I think she is immature and very juvenile! Cat's life at least (the 17th century girl) is interesting and events in her life historically fascinating, but still, she too, is a bit of a jerk. The story however, definitely made me want to go to Morocco and visit the souks and kasbahs (sp?.) And the little bit about islamic faith that it talked about was compelling to hear... just interesting that it is not what we SEE practised.... equality of sexes... respect of women...
