This first part (of the first book) was disappointing to me. Phédre really isn't the type of character I can relate to (on any level), and I felt like she had to personality.
There were too many intrigues, far too many characters to remember, and little of these actually showed up at any one time in the book, which made it that much harder to remember.

Still, the authors world-building was very good, especially in a religous-political side of things. Her writing as well was very enthralling, which kept me from geting bored in the info-dump stages of the first (many) chapters.

I still want to read the second part, but either Phédre grows a back bone, or I won't be moving forward afetr that one.

It's a good thing Joscelyn is in the book, otherwise I might have given up after this one.

Que coincidência! :)
E tu? Estás a gostar?

Inês Montenegro No geral, sim =)
