The Immortal Highlander (Highlander, #6)
by Karen Marie Moning
by Karen Marie Moning
*** "The Immortal Highlander" #6 is too masculine Adam, Fae prince, meddling with humans for the last time. When he gives life to a McKeltar, the Fae Queen banishes Adam to be human, and invisible. Author Karen Moning continuously vaccillates between ** for commercial crassness and **** for imaginative time travel romance. She entangles people from her other books, more boring than intriguing us: McKeltars, half-mortal Cin ("The Highlander's Touch") and evil Darroc (the Fever series).
Only sexy Gabby, Fae seer in Cincinnati, can touch Adam (explicitly of course), and hear his words, even those spoken by his non-existent heart and soul. Together, they travel to Scotland, enlist the McKeltars, call the Queen, vanquish Darroc and even time. They save each other, and oh yes, spoiler highlight, a tadpole! Moning can make being human a happy ever after.
