I is for Innocent (Kinsey Millhone, #9)
by Sue Grafton
by Sue Grafton
As always, Sue Grafton did a superb job of letting us follow Kinsey Millhone on a mystery. Kinsey's now working out of a local law office, picking up odd jobs for them as she needs to. This time around, she's introduced to Kenneth Voight. Lonnie (one of the main lawyers) is his lawyer and Mr. Voight's interested in reviewing the death of his ex-wife, who he believes was murdered by her second husband. He wants the case opened because his daughter isn't getting the monies she deserves from his ex-wife's estate.
Kinsey goes in search of the truth and finds much more than she bargained for. During her investigation, we meet a varied cast of characters, most of whom have a good motive for wanting Isabelle dead. The hard part is figuring out who's motive for Isabelle's death is more compelling.
(This isn't a great review because I read this so long ago that I'm having a hard time remembering all the little details, at least enough to give to you and not give away the entire storyline!)
