I did like this book. However, it is loaded with basketball jargon that I just didn't get. I only gave it two starts for personal reasons . . . not my cup of tea. BUT, I am planning on book talking this to a class of remedial 8th grade boys who are reluctant readers. The language is fairly simplistic and the focus on sports will be a definite draw. I found myself skimming over the play-by-plays since a lot of it did not make sense to me. It was well written and I did like the theme of teamwork and how there is no "I" in team.
