For a Greek Mythology nuts like me, The Goddess Test is one of my anticipated reads for this year and it was, indeed, one of the best I've read so far!

To be honest, I don’t know where to start in reviewing this. My mind is still spinning (in a good way) from reading this book. But there is one thing I can guarantee you readers about this one: IT WILL ROCK YOUR PANTS OFF! Bigtime!

Aimée Carter is one of the most imaginative and original authors I've read. The Goddess Testwas a delightful blend of Greek Myth, mystery, fantasy and romance. The plot was definitely breath-taking and utterly captivating. The way Aimée merged Greek Mythology with day to day living was just astounding! I guess I will forever be dazzled on how authors can effortlessly do that! Furthermore, I’ll never get tired in reading a book where at first you thought you've figured out something about the story then turns out you’re completely wrong. I know that this book is going to be a blast after scanning a handful of awesome reviews everywhere on the net but it still took me by surprise! The delightful twists in the story is my most favorite part that caused my jaw to drop (literally) many, many times.

Kate is such a lovely protagonist. She's such a kind and affectionate person but at the same time a courageous one with firm convictions. Her relationship with her mother was so beautiful and felt genuinely real. Among the characters, Henry, aka modern day Hades, is the one who wholly surprised me. Like I said on my WoW several weeks ago, I had this weird mind-set about Hades. Thank the Gods he isn't what I was expecting. Henry was actually a very astute and solid character. Even though he's a bit shady at first and kind of boring on tiny parts of the story, I haven't really encountered a male protagonist quite like him which is really refreshing. I hope I get to see more characters like him on other YA Paranormal/Fantasy books. The supporting characters are also interesting!

Overall, The Goddess Test is a charming and irresistible read that no one should miss! I'm giving this a strong 5 out of 5 stars and I STRONGLY recommend this to all readers who fancies a fresh, delectable take on YA Paranormal-Fantasy with Greek Myths.
