First had to read this in college for my Holocost History class. It is amazing. Set up in a black and white comic strip form, the charatcers are in animal form (dogs for americans, cats for germans, mice for jewish people, etc.) THe animals and pictures are as much a part of the story as the words.
Auther is recounting his father's experiences during WWII and in a concentration camp.
