Read from January 30 to March 07, 2011

I loved Dickens multiple story lines. He paints a well-studied portrait of society at the time. The struggles of the lower classes, and the machinations of the upper class. The romance of Bella and John is so beautifully portrayed. The Boffin's loyalty and devotion to "little John Harmon" would touch anyone's soul. John's devotion and tender love for Bella is an inspiration to any woman that there are men like that in the world.
My only criticism is that the number of the multiple story lines at times detracted from the story, although Dickens skillfully weaves them together. Great 1998 BBC movie to back up the story.
