This book didn't quite click for me, I think it is still a massive improvment from the first books, but for me this one seemed slightly off. It had nothing to do with the m/m aspect, I just didn't see the three of them quite clicking together as unit, it seemed more about them pleasing Trevor at the exclusion of there own happiness and that didn't quite seem right. However, I know they were all supposed to love eachother by the end but I didn't really feel that.

Kerstin Hey there! Hope all is well.
How are you liking this one? I only read the first book in the series so far, but am really keen on getting on with them. Too many books, too little time...

Suzanne the Mighty (Under the Covers Book blog) Heya : )

I am loving this series at the moment! I am determined to get through them all this month, I am now on to the next one, and I can't wait to get it started! YOu definitely need to start reading this series, maybe skip book number two as it is really rubbish, but after that they just get better!

Lol that could be my motto, too many books, too little time!

message 3: by Kerstin (new)

Kerstin Good luck on that task!

Thanks for the tip about book #2, I'll see if I can get myself to skip a book within a series, lol.

I enjoyed the hot and steamy in the first book, but the story was a bit lacking for me, so I ended up waiting with buying the rest of the series. My man mentioned a Kindle might be on its way for my birthday *happy dance*, so I might buy the kindle versions, they 're most likely a lot cheaper.

Regina Oh I don't think #2 is rubbish. I have only read 1, 2, 3 and 5, so I am definitely no expert on the series. I think 2 lays some groundwork for the brothers and it was satisying to see Gemma get her HEA, not the best book I have ever read but worth the time I thought. I don't read any of these too closely though.

Suzanne the Mighty (Under the Covers Book blog) I have a hard time skipping books as well, I have to read everything and everything in order as well! I liked seeing Gemma and Cash, I think it was Carter and Macie that really bugged me, especially Carter I just didn't like them and ended up skim reading there bits to get to the bits about Gemma and Cash.

Yep there is a definate lack of stories in most of them, although they get a bit better the further in you get.

Oh yay! That is good getting a Kindle, when is your birthday?

message 6: by Regina (new)

Regina Macie and Carter were not that interesting. And it wasn't the sexiest of the ones I read.

Suzanne the Mighty (Under the Covers Book blog) No, they were just irritating and the bit at the end with the paintings was a real wallbanger moment!

Kerstin I know, I'm always worried I miss on out on some big development or a new character if I skip a book.

I remember I quite liked Gemma and Cash in the first book, but I'm not sure if Carter and Macie were mentioned already. At least I can't remember them.

I was quite against getting an e-reader for a long time, because I like having an actual book in my hands, but with the amount I'm reading it will be so much easier to handle and store books. And I've heard so many good things about the Kindle that I had to cave in LOL.

Suzanne the Mighty (Under the Covers Book blog) Same here, lol but in Rough Riders, there is no big story line so you don't miss out on much! But I get why you don't skip a book as I would pribably still read it anyways as well!

Hmm, I don't think they were mentioned, maybe in passing or somethign but I can't remember them being in the first book.

That's what I thought, that I would much rather have a book in my hand, but I have found that, infact, I don't actually mind! The screen looks so much like an actual page that I don't miss it as much as I though I would. Although I still like having a book case crammed full of books as well! I understand the storage thing, I am rapdily running out of room!

Not too long to go then : )

Regina What? Brothers who love three somes and anal sex isn't a big story arc? ;) sorry, i couldn't resist.

message 11: by Kerstin (new)

Kerstin Good to know you like your Kindle. I like the idea of it looking like an actual page without the glare you get when reading on the computer. I never enjoyed reading on my PC a lot, as I just couldn't concentrate on the screen too long and my eyes started watering.

I know our book shelves are double stacked and I start to have little piles of books lying around everywhere. Do you know anyone who moved house so they could fit all their books? :)

I know, another year older and wiser... or not;)

LOL Regina!

Regina I love love love my Kindle. I am actually stressed out right now b/c my husband has taken over my kindle, he is reading the Game of Thrones series and is in the middle of #3 on my Kindle -- leaving me with my N.ook and library boooks and I am stressing. I need to have access to books, Nook and a Kindle, I need to be able to go back and forth and I am struggling without it. I am so tempted to buy another one but I am so in love with my kindle that I want THAT kindle -- MY kindle. Addicted, hopelessly.

LOL Regina : )

Is he hogging your kindle still! lol you need to get him the print versions so that you can claim it back! I am addicted to mine as well, I don't like people even touching mine! I don't mind sharing my books, but not my kindle, not my beloved kenny LOL!

Regina We live 1 block from the library and Storm of Swords is on the shelf, I offered to go get it for him and he said no!

message 15: by Kerstin (new)

Kerstin I'm looking forward to getting one more and more, now that I see how much you love your Kindles.

And it seems I have to set up some ground rules once it gets here, like "No touching allowed", "no reading allowed with it by anyone but me",..., lol.

message 16: by Regina (new)

Regina Yes. Definitely do the rules (as I watch my husband walk around the kitchen holding MY kindle.)

message 17: by Kerstin (new)

Kerstin You poor thing! I feel for you.

Suzanne the Mighty (Under the Covers Book blog) Yes set rules Kerstin, I actually have a password sey up on mine! Although it is more because I don't want anyone to see some of the smut I have on there LOL!

LOL, snatch it back and then give him the book!

message 19: by Kerstin (new)

Kerstin LOL, I know what you mean. I'm hoping the boyfriend doesn't find those raunchy cowboy novels I have now sitting on the computer!

Good idea, Suzanne. Just grab it when he doesn't look, Regina!

Suzanne the Mighty (Under the Covers Book blog) Lol, you never know it might give him some new ideas *waggles eyebrows* although, I was on teh bus reading them the other day and I swear the bloke sat next to me was reading them over my shoulder! I can't make up my mind if he was actually smirking at me or if I was being paranoid!

message 21: by Regina (new)

Regina My husband read one page of one of the cowboy books and lets just say he didn't stay focused on the story for long. LOL.

Kerstin, I am a sucker. He likes the story so I don't want to interpet his reading. But don't think I haven't thought about it!

That is too funny Suzanne, I always get paranoid about that stuff. Especially since I know the people I am riding the train wtih!

Hey -- Suzanne I was thinking about your health -- how are your ears doing?

Suzanne the Mighty (Under the Covers Book blog) LOL, I bet, not that there is much of a story to focus on! What did he say about it?

Luckily I don't know most the people, but whenever I see him, I get paranoid that he knows I am read my girl-porn, he was looking at a really raunchy bit aswell!

Thanks Regina : ) My ears are better, I haven't had an infection for a few weeks, which is almost a record for me in the past year! But I think my hearing has been effected by it as sometimes I am still a bit deaf!

Hmm, you may have a point there Suzanne!
Did your husband pick up any handy hints Regina ;)

I'm always paranoid when people check out what I'm reading on the bus, especially when it's girl porn, but luckily I don't know most people either.

I didn't know you had ear problems. Hope everything well with you!

message 24: by Regina (new)

Regina I am glad to hear your infections have slowed down, but the hearing issue is not good. :( Honestly, my husband doesn't need any hints but he did suddenly become very distracted with me. I am guessing he didn't need more than one page, lol.

I am always paranoid too!

Suzanne the Mighty (Under the Covers Book blog) Damn you Regina, I may have to hate you for haing sucj good luck : D Poor single me : ( LOL!

You know what the same guy whowas reading over my shoulder sat next to me AGAIN! He is definately checking out what I am reading, and DAMN HIM but I was reading a Rough Riders book, so he had plenty to read about!!

Yeah, I am pleased, I may get a hearing test done soon just to double check I may just be paranoid, I haven't been hearing properlyfor about a year now, so I can't really remember what my normal hearing is like!

message 26: by ♥ Sarah ♥ (last edited Feb 09, 2011 12:20PM) (new)

♥ Sarah ♥ Wha?!? Is this "guy" reading over your shoulder cute? If so...well, maybe you guys could read them together. lol You should be like "you like what i'm reading big boy?" in your huskiest voice. :)

message 27: by Regina (new)

Regina Good idea about the hearing test.

LOL Sarah.

Suzanne the Mighty (Under the Covers Book blog) LOL Sarah! He isn't that cute, but will I have been single for a while so I may be getting to that as-long-as-he-doesn't-have-moobs stage of desparation LOL! Ah seduction on the number 11 bus, I can see it now (and it ain't pretty!)

message 29: by ♥ Sarah ♥ (new)

♥ Sarah ♥ LMAO! Gotta look out for those moobs, they're dangerous.

Suzanne the Mighty (Under the Covers Book blog) LMAO! No, I don't wanna guy to have bigger boobs then me!

Annie (Under the Covers Book Blog) Gonna start this one! Doesn't look like it's a favorite though. I'm not sure how I will feel since I called the guys dumbasses in my other review LOL! oyyyy.
