I thought this was a magnificent account full of true love, hate and war, all within the head of one man. What a ghastly, truly horrific experience to go through, and just reading it at certain parts made me feel ill for him! It made me question so many of my own beliefs and addictions though (not to drugs and alchol of course), but to life's little pleasures and habits that one has... and his words from the Tao book he read touched me deeply. I would recommend this to anyone who cant face themselves or their lives, or anyone who is struggling to deal with any part of their existence. I plan to read the next Frey book - My Friend Leonard.
