I won this book in a first-reads giveaway. I enjoyed the story, but not as much as I expected. Compared to other urban fantasy stories, I felt that this one fell a bit short as far as keeping my attention and interest throughout.

The story in Vicious Grace definitely has potential to be gripping, but doesn't quite pull it off in my opinion. Maybe I just need to read the other books in the series, but this one left me feeling like I just didn't quite get it. All the way along I felt like I was just missing something that would help me understand the story a little better so it would make more sense and be a great urban fantasy, which I happen to like a lot.

I don't really mean to be so down on this book. I really did enjoy reading it, and I glad I had the chance. It just isn't quite one that is going to stand out for me. I guess it's kind of a disappointment that way because I thought I would love it. Perhaps I should look into reading some of the others in the series.
