I enjoyed this story, the first of the Riley Jensen series. Riley and her twin brother Rhaon are Dhampire's, a rare hybrid that are half vampire/half werewolf. Riley is more werewolf and Rhoan is gay and is more vampire. They were kicked out of their pack at 15 because they are half breeds and the pack leader did not want them in the pack any longer. They work for the Directorate of Other Races (like a police force but for supernatual beings - and they have their own set of rules).
Rhoan goes missing while on assignment and the timing couldn’t be worse for Riley’s concentration because it is now the lead up to the full moon when werewolves are vulnerable to the moon heat, where the need to mate becomes all-consuming. To make matters worse Riley is confronted by Quinn, a vampire who turns up naked at her door and who raises her temperature like never before. The mating is quite sensual and well written (I think so anyway). Quinn is gorgeous and becomes her on again/off again boyfriend throughout the series.
Keri Aruthur’s Vamps are a little different again. They don’t teleport and they can stay awake during the day as long as they are not in direct sunlight and they can shadow to make themselves invisible. The books are set in Melbourne Australia that was probably anothe appealing things for me because so many vampire novels are set overseas.
