Grace Lawson brings home her photos from the photomart and there is one that doesn't belong. It is from 15 years earlier but her husband, Jack is in the photo along with others. Jack sees the photo and takes off w/o saying anything to Grace. Without knowing it, he has a meeting with Eric Wu. Wu isn't just a killer, he's a torturer. He knows how to use his hands to cause the most pain-physical and mental-to his victims. Meanwhile Grace tries to find Jack and all she can find out about the photo. It turns out to connected to her own story-she was the victim of a stampede 15 years earlier at a concert. When a concert is delayed 4 hours and someone fires shots-the crowd goes wild-leaving 8 dead and Grace with a limp and memory loss. What does this have to do with a young college student killed in a fire--by a hired assassin-also 15 years ago? A very intriguing story-quick read. Complicated plot that becomes clear at the end.
