Laura's review of The Memory Keeper's Daughter
The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards
This is a book I bought based on buzz. I wasn't disappointed. The writing is beautiful. The story is emotional, heartbreaking, and hopeful in a big way. There are a lot of bittersweet moments. You could really hate some of the characters, but at the same time, you understand their actions. No one is good or evil here, not entirely. It really makes you think about children, health, and how you would react under certain circumstances. This is a book that could probably spurn a lot of really good discussions.
