MINOR SPOILERS ALERT!! =PP
I have to admit that this book started out on good terms... but I almost didn't finish it. I loved the plot with heroes and supernatural powers. However, I felt that at the end, Teresa had not reconciled with any of the characters on her team. Whether or not she's a good leader is still in question but what really bothered me was that she didn't even sit down to talk with Renee (who is suppose to be her best friend)after William died. The book was too fast paced with Specter and other conflicting complications that there was not enough focus on relationships between the characters themselves. When I passed the midpoint, everything spiralled downward and there was absolutely no hope for any of the characters. Teresa has a problem dealing with the people on her team and I feel as if she never gets close enough to her friends to truly understand what they're going through. I always think that in books like these, the ending should be cathartic, where the reader takes a deep breath and releases it with relief because everything's been resolved. I didn't get that from this book.
If you're a fan of the urban fantasy/supernatural genre, I suggest you give this book a try. However, for those of you who really like to see relationship dynamics whether it be love or friendship or camaraderie, you might not prefer this book as much. I have to say, this book really upset me for the rest of the day after I finished it.
