702028 I am just finishing up the companion book by Ken Follett entitled World Without End. Both of the books seemed daunting in the beginning - I mean 1,000 pages is a big book! But with each one of them I have been drawn in and it doesn't seem like I have read that many pages. I am intrigued by the complexity of church and state and the power pyramid. The depths the characters go to to keep and steal power. Surprisingly, this same battle plays itself out over and over in history and continues today with religion being used in many inappropriate ways.

868976 I'm really enjoying Pillars of the Earth but I'm a slow reader and it's taking me some time. I've put my other books aside for now so I can have more time to read Pillars. I'm also drawn into the story...
