Blow Fly (Scarpetta Book 12) by Patricia Cornwell
The narration of this book is incredibly lazy and annoying. It's everyone-under-the-moon omniscient, with each chapter having a different narrator. How half-assed is that? The pacing is also all off, with the last 15 pages packing 100 pages worth of action so nothing seems to get resolved.
She did provide a completely surprising update to one of her characters (I will not spoil), so if you've read several of her books, it's worth reading just for that.
