Bill's review of Fidel Castro: My Life: A Spoken Autobiography
Fidel Castro: My Life: A Spoken Autobiography by Ignacio Ramonet
I was disappointed that he didn't talk more about the events that led to the Revolution. Nevertheless, this book is an interesting look at one of the longest-serving head of state in modern times. El Comandante comes across as a real live human being who works hard to maintain his revolution.
He is a little hard on the US. For example, he derides the Cuban-American community in south Florida as a terrorist Mafia.
Overall, it's a good book. I just wished he'd talked more about the beginning of the Revolution.
