Not quite predicable, but some of the characters are a little slow on the up take of what was going on. I'm so used to reading her vampire novels, that I kept expecting a run in with a vamp. She left the story very open ended, even stated that Ramses story will go on. But has since stated that she will never write another story about him. Sounds to me like a good reason for fans to start writing their own stories.
