I loved this book. From the very beginning I was swept up in the adventure and couldn't put it down. Valerie is headstrong, but not in a way that is annoying. She knows what she wants, but is mature about gaining it. There are no fits or temper-tantrums. She just wants to be treated as if she can make up her own mind and doesn't want to be lied to. Ashford, on the other hand, isn't as easy to understand. He is honorable and fighting for justice, but his actions are sometimes hard to figure out. I liked these two as a couple and their love story has an epic feel to it. She wants to be with him, but can't completely trust him. He wants to be with her, but doesn't want to put her in danger. There is a lot of sexual tension in this story before the couple gives in to their passions. SWEPT AWAY BY A KISS is wonderfully written and extremely romantic. I can't wait to read more from this author!
