This book takes place during the summer, when the Emerson's stay in England (as it is too hot to excavate in Egypt). I didn't enjoy the setting of this one as much as the others, but the interaction between Emerson and Amelia is quite different from when they are in Egypt, as they are now in 'civilized' company most of the time. Their love for each other is tested as one of the persons embroiled in the mystery they're solving turns out to be an 'old flame' of Emerson's. This makes their dialogue even more interesting.
