I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I did find this book quite inspiring. It gave me a little extra oomph to my desire to become simpler and less ego-driven.

Also found some useful (if a little trite) insight into optimism vs. pessimism, at least a way of seeing how the latter can be counterproductive [although I still believe the idea that the best engineers are the most pessimistic ;-)]

Final interesting idea I encountered in this book is the notion of 'compassionate utilitarianism', yet another data man to the torture one child to save a thousand dilemma.
