I almost gave this collection 3 stars because I did enjoy reading it, but somehow I enjoyed reading it more than I liked it- if that makes any sense at all. The stories were strange, had no climax and no real conclusions. Because of that unexpected weirdness they were kind of fun to read, especially The Diamond as Big as the Ritz. They reminded me of the style of a lot of things done in the 1960's. I would never actually recommend this to anyone. Still, everyone ought to read F. Scott Fitzgerald just to get a taste.

I almost forgot to mention that the book has over 400 pages, but I listened to the book on CD which is only 4 stories on 3 CD's. Not a great reader.
