really liked it
bookshelves: sci-fi-dystopia
I own a copy

A timely novel that deals with religious fundamentalism and its potential effect on American society. A sci-fi/fantasy novel, I really enjoyed this one. It's got women's issues, class issues, motherhood issues and more. And, of course, there's that strange birthing scene.
