This book was about a young girl that lives in Paris with her mother, who runs a boarding house. She is instantly drawn to a man that comes and stays, because of his talent of tight-rope walking. She is inspired by him to try this skill, but he tries to discourage her at first. When she realizes that she can walk on the ropes after falling and trying again many times, he surprises her and they walk the line together at the end. The book was a little slow, and somewhat hard to connect to because the skill in it is rare. It ends happily, though, and is inspiring for people who want to try new things.
