This volume shows us how fear of power has impacted the people of the Irredeemable world. Fear of the Plutonian as a child profoundly impacted him in a severely negative way and fear of the heroes on the run causes the army to make a deal with a devil. There is a lot of the unknown to this story, who are these characters, how much more tragedy can the Plutoinain have in his background, where is the Plutonian's arch enemy? This volume seemed a little too drawn out for dramatic effect, not enough here to make me excited to read the next volume.
