I rally enjoyed this as much as everyone has. I also agree with many, that it was disturbing. The idea for the book was a reaction to the 500th anniversary of Columbus' discovery of the new world. Needless to say a lot of that event has been idealized.
I which I had been able to read it all at once. I had to read a book club in between finishing it, but still managed to pick it back up again without feeling lost.
I also enjoyed the author interview at the end of my copy.
