it was amazing
bookshelves: old-reads
Read in January, 1998

This is one of my favorite books. An amazing story (memoir) of Alicia Appleman-Jurman, who was a young girl during World War II. She miraculously survived, despite all that was working against her. This was a book I discovered when I was around 13 or 14 years old, and it still remains one of my favorites. As you would imagine, many parts of it are heartbreaking, so I'm not sure about reading in more than once or twice (think I've read it twice).
