Sarah's review of Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right
Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right by Al Franken
I think everyone should read this book.
It's not because I'm a liberal who enjoys the scathing comments about the not so liberal (although I did enjoy that part). Rather, its a very funny, well written book. I laughed. Out Loud. In the middle of the gym.
The other aspect of the book that I believe qualifies it as a book that everyone should read is its concept of fact checking and spin. Its funny to see how you can take any statement out of context to make it say what you want it to say. I know this - this is how I found so much data while writing my highschool research papers. But, you know, I never went on national TV and read my highschool research papers. Or published them in books.
So the book is really a valuable asset in how to not make an ass out of yourself in the public eye.
