really liked it
Read in January, 2009

Speaking of race relations, I read this in 5th grade after I found it in my brother's library. He was in high school at the time and I was one of those pretentious little dorks that showed up to the first day of 5th grade with a stack of books to keep up appearances I was, as AJ Jacobs also believed of himself, the smartest kid in the world. I didn't understand a lick of the significance, of course, but when I read it again last semester for an acting class, I remembered how my 5th grade teacher had opened my eyes to the world of race relations, the Civil Rights Movement, etc, and how this book, even at 10 years old, stood out. One of my favorites. An absolute classic.
